YES, there is negative marking in FIITJEE admission tests, and it is recommended to read the instructions carefully before attempting the FIITJEE Admission Test paper.

The cut-off mark for selection and scholarship for every test is decided by the National Admission Committee based on the difficulty level of the paper and relative performance of the students in that particular paper. The allotment of scholarship is based on a complex algorithm.

FIITJEE’s 6-hour Admission Test serves as a comprehensive 360-degree diagnostic tool to assess a student’s potential across various Scholastic and Competitive exams. The objective section evaluates speed and accuracy, while the comprehension section gauges raw talent and intrinsic intelligence. The paper combines unique patterns from competitive exams like Olympiads, NTSE, and JEE Advanced. Although the duration might seem lengthy, it is a fraction of what competitive exams generally demand (3 hours or more). The minimum time is essential for effective discovery and identification of potential, ensuring the Admission Test is not merely symbolic. FIITJEE’s assessment methodology in evaluating potential within such short timeframe surpasses what national bodies (like IITs, IIMs etc.) might achieve in years.

FIITJEE does not offer online admission tests due to several reasons:

  • Many students (in lower classes) are not familiar with online exams, especially those from rural areas.
  • Online exams from home can lead to casual attempts, resulting in potentially incorrect and misleading RPI calculations.
  • Starting FTRE 2023, Rough Sheets are considered in the Result declaration process for authenticity verification.

While predicting a student’s potential with a single exam involves statistical uncertainties, FIITJEE has achieved remarkable success through Rank Potential Index (RPI). This scientifically designed metric serves as a future projection of a student’s performance at their current level of preparation. The RPI algorithm is highly complicated and dynamic, continually tuned for accuracy. It is based on the performance of rankers in milestone competitive exams like NTSE, KVPY, NEET, NSEJS, International Physics, Maths, and Chemistry Olympiads, along with scholastic exams like Boards over the last 30 years.

Patterns of FIITJEE Admission Tests for the year 2024 can be viewed on this page

Yes, one must qualify in the admission test. A student can take a maximum of two attempts at admission tests in one academic session (in addition to FTRE). If a student is selected in the first attempt and has scored some scholarship but decides not to take admission in FIITJEE, intending to take another test for more scholarship, then, in that case, the second attempt will be considered first. Otherwise, the student can take admission based on the results of the first test, and the corresponding terms and conditions will be applicable.

Certainly! Your child has the opportunity to take another FIITJEE admission test within the same academic year to improve their performance. At FIITJEE, we recognize the significance of our programs, and almost every student qualifying for admission to our Classroom Programs chooses to join us. Even those who initially do not qualify often take our admission test again, sometimes more than once. However, it is essential to note that the scholarship awarded in subsequent tests will be adjusted by one slab, ensuring fairness, and preventing any undue advantage over students appearing for the first time.

FIITJEE’s Admission Test follows a competitive exam-like evaluation process. The criteria for selection and scholarships are determined by analysing the question paper, difficulty level, and overall performance on a specific exam date, utilizing a percentile system. While there is no fixed threshold, we suggest targeting at least 50% marks for selection. The scholarship allocation involves a sophisticated algorithm, considering factors such as question type and difficulty. It is not solely dependent on the total score; instead, it offers a holistic evaluation of various test aspects for fair and comprehensive scholarship distribution.

Given our extensive experience, we have observed that an All-India Rank in FIITJEE tests fails to accurately reflect a student’s true potential. Depending on the rank achieved, students may not take their studies seriously after a good rank or become excessively demotivated with a lower rank. To address this, we have replaced All India Rank with the Rank Potential Index (RPI). RPI is a highly scientific metric crafted based on the Admission Test performance of our top rankers in JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and various national and international examinations over the last 30 years. This predictive analytics tool offers an unprecedented level of accuracy in forecasting a student’s future performance.

At FIITJEE, our goal is to ensure that every student clear on pursuing IIT-JEE from Class IX/X onwards achieves a top rank and pursues their desired branch at IIT. In the Four/Three-year classroom programs, students receive dual benefits. They pay a lower course fee over four/three years and gain a valuable academic advantage. Students who do not opt for the exit option start their Class XI syllabus from October while still in Class X, giving them a head start. By the time they enter Class XII, almost all JEE syllabi are covered, allowing sufficient time for revision and increasing the chances of securing a top rank in JEE.

In contrast, a student opting for the exit option misses out on starting Class XI inputs in October. They will have their academic focus directed solely towards revision and board exam-level preparation. In the case of an exit, the student needs to retake the FIITJEE Admission Test and pay the revised new fee. They start in a fresh batch in April, repeating some basic fundamentals already covered in their past phases. This repetition is a waste of time, and the student may fall behind in course coverage, leaving less time for revision compared to students who did not opt for the exit option. This could significantly impact the student’s JEE rank and might compromise their chances of selection into an IIT.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. On the contrary, FIITJEE strongly encourages students to continue regular schooling. While our coaching helps students excel in schools, boards, and competitive exams, we believe in holistic development. Merely focusing on coaching can lead to unidirectional development, potentially causing long-term damage to a child’s life. Students who miss school may face disadvantages in higher education and careers. At FIITJEE, our emphasis goes beyond exam results, aiming for holistic academic development, fostering creative and strategic thinking skills. This approach ensures that FIITJEE students not only excel in exams but also thrive in colleges, careers, and as entrepreneurs.

The suitability of the program depends on your child’s individual characteristics. For independent, organized, and dedicated students capable of managing a rigorous daily schedule, the Integrated Program offers extensive JEE Advanced preparation without compromising overall development. However, for students who may be careless or lacking discipline in life, the school-Integrated program ensures they do not miss out on two years of regular school life while receiving FIITJEE’s assistance in JEE preparation.

WE'RE HERE TO HELP YOU OUT.
